Dr. Darla Thompson grew up in northwest Missouri. She was an avid basketball player and captain of the 1980 State Championship Team, which was inducted into the Missouri Basketball Hall of Fame.

After earning a Bachelor of Science Degree from Northwest Missouri State University, she served three years active duty in the United States Army as a Military Intelligence Officer, achieving the rank of Captain.

Upon completing active duty, she began working with handicapped children in Houston. Due to the physical nature of her job, Dr. Thompson suffered a severe back injury. As she began to regain her health through chiropractic, she also was inspired to pursue a new career in chiropractic.

In April of 1996, Dr. Thompson graduated Cum Laude from Texas Chiropractic College and was inducted into the Omega Psi Honor Society. She then opened her private practice, House of Chiropractic. Through seminars and workshops, she continues to advance and expand her education to stay on top of the latest research and techniques available. Dr. Thompson participates in numerous community events and is the team chiropractor for the Houston Energy Women's Professional Football Team. Dr. Thompson works diligently to create a space much like home where her patients feel safe, comfortable, and nurtured.

  • Because I honor the inborn potential of everyone to be truly healthy.
  • Because I desire to help the newborn, the aged, and those without hope.
  • Because I choose to care for the patient with the disease, not the disease.
  • Because I wish to assist rather than intrude, to free rather than control.
  • Because I seek to correct the cause, not its effect.
  • Because I know doctors do not heal; The body heals itself.
  • Because I have been called to serve others.
  • Because I want to make a difference.
  • Because every day I get to witness miracles.
  • Because I know it is right.
